I'm not trying to break the bank just yet, not that great of a player, but I do at some point plan on getting the Axe-FX ultra down the road, but will the Digitech do well for now? I'm basically going for more of a thrash sound like earlier Metallica, or Megadeth sound. Sweetwater is an Authorized DigiTech Dealer. Is that a fair price? The other thing would be is I'd have to get a preamp with it which I was thinking on just getting the Digitech GSP1101 for this. Basically I have found a couple on eBay between $500 & $900. I do have some questions though on the "pro's vs. I must say that that IS the amp I want to get. I have a few old rack preamps that I use for my guitar tracks.
